Hotham Sound Kayak Tour

This 5 hour tour starts right at the lodge where you and your guide are ferried across Jervis Inlet to Hotham Sound. Here you will not only experience one of the deepest water ways on the B.C. coast, but one of the warmest sounds or bays on the coast.
Once into Hotham Sound you slip into your kayak and paddle to Friel Falls, a 1400 ft water fall considered to be the longest free standing fall between here and Alaska. Depending upon the time of year and the amount of rainfall, the sound of the falls can been compared to thunder; don't be surprised if you can hear it from a mile away.
After paddling you might want to take advantage of the excellent water conditions, and go swimming or go diving for oysters. If you bring your catch back to the lodge we will gladly throw them on the barbecue for you.
More than likely you will have worked up an appetite, so let the guide take you to one of his favourite lunch spots. Once lunch is complete hop back in your kayak and paddle to the head of Hotham Sound to be picked up and taken back to the lodge. Finally, just before you depart don't forget to take a picture.

Sit back...relax, and experience one of the most beautiful places in the world, while kayaking that is. Depending upon the tides and kayakers kayaking ability a guide designs each trip unlike any other.
One of the most popular destinations is Seal Rock where you will experience wildlife like never before. Seal Rock is a prefect place for seals to haul out and at any given time it is colonized by 30 - 100 seals. When you approach the rock they, being the curious creatures they are, move into water.
