Government restrictions impacting the lodge

  • Canada border closure: At this stage the border is closed to all non-Canadians (with a few exceptions). The duration of this is unknown, though expected to last at least two months.
  • Restrictions on groups over 50: The government is currently limiting group gatherings to less than 50 people, which impacts many of our weddings. The duration of this is currently unknown.
  • Social distancing requirements: All Canadians are required to maintain a safe social distance of at least 2 metres (and up to 5 metres if possible). We expect this to continue for some time and are working on ways to operate the lodge should this continue after we reopen.

Which bookings are impacted?

All May & June bookings are currently held in credit. We will be in touch with all people impacted by this. This credit will last for the coming two years for any upcoming trips, and we will be providing discounted rates for all credited bookings.

Bookings from July onward are currently still in place. We are pending further information of the duration and extent of ongoing COVID-19 restrictions. At this stage we are assuming normal operations from July forward, but will revisit this as we learn more.

What do our guests need to do?

If you had a booking for May & June, your booking is already converted to a credit. We will be in touch with all people impacted by this. This credit will last for the coming two years for any upcoming trips.

You do not need to contact us immediately. We will honour credits at any stage in the future, whether you choose to re-book or have your deposit refunded. We hope this helps to minimise stress during these uncertain times.

Re-book for a later date: Please email us if you would like your booking rescheduled to a later date. We are offering a 10% discount for accommodation and tours for rescheduled bookings to help our customers who missed out on holidays.
Cancel for a refund: If you prefer to cancel, please email us and let us know. We will issue a full refund as soon as we are able to process it. Note that this may take several weeks at this stage.

If you do need to contact us, please use email rather than calling. Our lines are very busy at this time and we have limited off-season capacity to handle additional calls. We are working around the clock and aiming to return all emails within 48 hours.

• Wash your hands frequently for 20 seconds each time – if soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer
• Cover coughs and sneezes
• Stay home when feeling sick
• Throw away used tissues and immediately wash hands
• Avoid contact with people who are sick
• Avoid touching eyes, mouth or nose
• Disinfect and keep all surfaces clean
